I agree wiht the first 4 and disagree with #5.

It would seem that I wouldn’t spend a lot of time trying to be better at contract management if I wanted a future career in supply chain.

Several things might happen that would make this type of job disappear. This won’t happen over night so those of you working in this areas shouldn’t panic but you should be planning for a change.

1. Those with a legal background are now moving into this space
2. There are a number of software platforms including QCsolver Inc. that eliminate a lot of the functions
3. Advancements in AI are going to eliminate a lot of people that are currently copy and paste experts
