It is only by taking a look at a trend over time can you see or at least get a glimpse of the future. Sometimes the trend hasn’t even begun.

As you can see agriculture has shrunk significantly in size because of automation and consolidation. There could also be shrinkage in this sector with the growth in trade and imports. Which has increased to the point where our roads are packed with trucks.

Education is now huge and especially in Canada with the influx of overseas talent. Governments in the US have grown but pales in comparison to what we have seen in Canada. According to the Globe & Mail there has been a 25% increase since 2020.

Healthcare is the place you will want to be. An easy prediction as everyone gets older and we will soon have over 10 million over the age of 65 by 2037 (Statistics Canada | Statistique Canada).

According to Ontario Construction news https://lnkd.in/gGk9zyYy
the Ontario Government has over $330B of aging infrastructure. Which will have to be fixed and/or replaced.

Buildings were built to accommodate the population growth and now they are getting to be at the end of their life.

Looking for a new supply chain career path then you should be considering healthcare, education or construction.

Food for thought!
