I love how Codie A. Sanchez starts right on the first page and says what is on her mind. My philosophy is slightly different. Some parts of every job sucks. Your goal is to do something about it. This could mean delegating, putting a new spin on it or simply going to another job and repeating the process.

In order to be in a position to succeed you need to remember a few things as outlined in this document that you can download. I have put my own spin below.

1. Be a can do type of person versus it won’t work.
2. You have to be your own champion and cheerleader. Not everyone wants you to succeed.
3. Fear is something that you can overcome. Baby steps when accepting the challenge.
4. No point getting partly wet. Dive right in if you believe that the odds of success are in your favor.
5. You don’t always have to pay for education. Online is a possibility. Volunteering and internships are a viable alternative.
6. You never know until you have tried.
7. Concentrate on the how and when versus the why.
