Here is a handout created by the Procurement League and this is my 3rd mention of them in the last 3 weeks.
They have 7 points that they outline but I will focus on 2 of them.
The first one that I deem to be the most important is focusing on the total cost of ownership. It simply doesn’t make sense to buy the cheapest and replace the item every 3 years when you can pay a bit more and have it last 5 to 7 years.
I also tend to want to help with number 5 which is SPRM or supply performance and relationship management. Key factors that I help enable with assistance from our QCsolver Inc. platform are performance management, collaboration, consolidation, audits, and leveraging group purchasing.
The rest is up to you.
