It also could be that the technology they are using was designed in the 1980’s or 1990’s. A lot has changed since then. If your company thinks that EXCEL is a strategic tool then you need to learn about alternatives.

At QCsolver Inc., we recently were faced with what is a great challenge to have. We are signing up a lot of new clients and each client has some unique requirements and a lot of suppliers to onboard into our system.

What we have done is looked at the process and determined how we could speed up the various tasks while maintaining full visibility.

What we are doing is similar to what we did with our Workplace Insurance Verification Process. It used to take us 3.5 days to review and load the clearance certificates into QCsolver for all of our clients and their suppliers. We now can get the task done in 1.5 hours.

We haven’t finished working on our onboarding process but I suspect we will see similar productivity improvements.
