The most common question I am getting lately is how do I determine my success rate if I am in purchasing. Sales people have a great way to measure their success which is how many customers did they get and how much money is the company going to make.
Except some sales people could get a customer that is an operational burden, where the profit margins are supper low or non existent and they are still considered a superstar based on how their success if measured (see above).
Supply chain professionals are often very bad at marketing. Often they think of themselves is an administrative task and operationally focused. Except we are so much more.
Looking for new ways to shine? Then check out this handout from Tom Mills. One of the best to follow.
