Yesterday, I attended the Kinetic sponsored Supply Chain Canada event Accelerate Supplier Diversity. I also created a LinkedIn Poll this week asking the question “What do you need help with?”. I have a small sampling so far but 69% picked finding a mentor. Which is something that I do through the KW YMCA and Supply Chain Canada.
I am sharing this post and image because I want others to maybe say to themselves “I can also be a mentor”. By the way, I didn’t expect to get this certificate and it actually made my day.
Trust me, being a mentor doesn’t take a lot of your time and you end up meeting some great people. You will learn as much from them as they do from you and in some cases they become friends. And in all cases, you can make a difference.
