I often find inspiration in a number of places. This one is courtesy of the National Association of State and Procurement officials.

They posted this great info-graphics on their top 10 priorities for 2022. If you don’t have your own list then why not use this one? Or simply use this list as your starting point.

I do have a bit of advice. What I have found over the years is that everyone has a top 10 and for some reason they only work on the top 5. How often have I heard that QCsolver is number 6 on the list.

This year why not try something different. Why not try the inverted list. Start with 10 and work your way down. Do this especially if the bottom 5 have been there for a while. Either work on them or take them off your list.

You can also always try what is called Skunk Works. The designation “skunk works” or “skunkworks” is widely used in business, engineering, and technical fields to describe a group within an organization given a high degree of autonomy and unhampered by bureaucracy, with the task of working on projects.

Maybe you can free up the time for one person to get a few things off the list. Avoid the “I don’t have enough time” mantra. As Nike says “just do it”.
