I found this great report put out by the BDC. I have noticed that so many small and medium-sized companies are not leveraging technology. The two images will give you some insight.
I am going to give you a few other reasons why the utilization of technology is lagging.
1. I am too old to learn something new (You have not explained the value well enough)
2. Technology is too complex (I would sooner buy a capital asset that I understand)
3. What we have works for us (Excel and Word have always been our friends)
4. Our IT department said we don’t need it (said mainly by hardware experts)
