Pedro Berrocoso put together this series of illustrations form McKinsey & Company which I thought I should share.
What I noticed in this document is that the role of CPO was noticeably absent. Check out page 5 and see for yourself.
Supply chain professionals do tend to be conservative in their approach. They are not risk takers and they don’t want to be the first to implement something new. In fact I have coined a phrase. They want to be first to be second. Which means they will adopt once they see others being successful.
Thankfully I am getting a lot of chances to talk to pioneers and leaders. They are easy to spot. They are curious about technology. They love to learn and experiment and they enjoy collaborating with others.
