What has been happening for a while is that the debt to GDP ratio has been growing worldwide. The first thing that I do when I see a chart like this one is to look and see how Canada is doing (110%). Are we doing better or are we doing worse than other countries?
Looks like we are number 22.
I then look to see how other countries similar to us are doing. New Zealand is not on the chart (52%) and Australia is also not on the chart (47%).
This means that they are doing something different which at least should be reviewed and considered. What can we do to help?
It would appear that there is going to be a lot more scrutiny and effort to try and lower government costs and spending.
