At QCsolver, I have a talented group of individuals who always look at how we can improve our solutions. Recently we started developing a new module to give our clients better control over their bid process.

We defined our scope, got feedback from our project sponsor, established timelines and updated our project tracking tool (Jira).

What happened was what I should have expected. Along the journey, the module got better. The challenge was that it wasn’t finished. This is what happens when you have scope creep.

Keep in mind that things can always be better when it comes to software. It would help if you decided where to stop so you can launch and get better feedback.

If you haven’t succeeded with a few of your projects, then perhaps revisit to see where scope creep entered the picture.
