The acronym is BRICS. It represents 5 huge markets and economies. Why is knowing this going to be important? The main factor that I am trying to keep in mind is what would happen should they start to work well together. Then they might end up replacing the US dollar as the World’s currency with the Chinese RMB.
I am not sure what that ultimately means but I am sure that it will cause huge market disruptions. Canada is extremely tied to the US economy and BRICS is going to be a challenge.
You might just have to do what I do and watch and learn and hope for the best.
