When I was a professor at Conestoga College, I formed groups with the intent that the more diverse the group, the better the learning.
Students often said, “I want to work with such and such” because they got along with the student mentioned. Differences of opinion can be a challenge, but perspectives should be welcomed.
Don’t fall into the trap of being more of a devil than an advocate.
